COMPANY HISTORY

Grant J. Hunt Company has been a leader in the produce industry since its inception in 1934. Operating within Northern California for over seven decades, the company now has global supply arrangements with customers and suppliers in more than 30 countries.

Prior to the construction of the Golden Gate Bridge and the Bay Bridge in 1937, the company would load fruits and vegetables grown in the Sacramento Valley onto the Oakland ferry before dawn in order to make deliveries to customers in San Francisco.† The transportation methods have changed of course but our commitment to timely deliveries to our customers has not.

While the company has grown and diversified over the decades by adding offices in Oregon and Washington, as well as by creating Oakport Transportation Services to provide logistical support, our commitment to provide the highest level of service to customers and suppliers has never wavered since 1934.
